AKA: DON’T BE A BREXSH*T DIPSH*T
Last week in the UK, we saw wall-to-wall Nigel Farage interviews. He appeared on every major politics and current affairs program. Yet no journalist held him to account over Farage's unimpeachable history of:
• Massive repeated lies
• Unquestionable racism
• Islamophobia
• Secret funding
• Arron Banks
• Work with Tommy Robinson, white supremacists, European Nazis/fascists - all pre the EU-referendum
• Leave campaign breaking the law/election rigging
• History of UKIP racism/sexism scandals under his leadership
• Farage's presentation as anti-establishment whilst he is totally establishment
It is Orwellian. A total whitewash. There's no point debating membership of a customs union when you should be pressing the ejector button and firing him into outer space.
The rational mind wonders as to what possible logical explanation exists as to why NOT ONE of our leading political journalists have been willing or able to take down Farage. It's not exactly hard to take him down, a straight-talking schoolchild could do it. Of course, it makes him and his party utterly unelectable. And he's a sitting duck. So, what are the possible reasons?
1. All of our leading front line political journalists are incompetent and should be sacked
2. Every editor or producer simultaneously decided not to address these pink-elephant-in-the-room issues
3. Farage's handlers and backers have significant influence over our MSM
4. The national security protocol over our media has been implemented and they are unable to say so
5. Some other unknown reason
It's time we started asking serious questions. Not how racist anti-Muslim fascists are being so widely platformed as 'populists' but why are our media entirely derelict in their duty to call it out when it's such an easy and obvious no-brainer.
Post script. I’ve been asked at length about my detailed work to combat the rise of the far right across the UK, Europe and the West over the last ten years - in particular, UKIP, Batten and Farage. To add some context:
Feb 2011: Tommy Robinson planning with Gerald Batten, Andrea Williams from Christian Concern, Sam Solomon and others to dismantle multi-culturalism and Islam. Not extremists but civil society organisations, Islamic banking, to ban the veil, and get British Muslims to sign a statement. An outright racist and Islamophobic proposition.
I informed Farage as soon as I found out. He would have known already, no doubt. I informed UKIP rep Sanya Jeet Tandi when we did Channel 4 News. She left UKIP. I also told Nuttal and Woolfe. They didn’t remain leaders for much longer. Maybe days.
Farage knows. He has always known. There is no way he didn’t know.
